Six students from Central Philippine University (CPU) have been named semi-finalists for The Outstanding Students of Iloilo Awards (TOSIA) 2025, following the official announcement on April 3, 2025.

Representing CPU in the Junior High School category are Ma. Theresa P. Magbanua; Roan Victor R. Lacupa; and Dylan Mizpah G. Sian; while the College category semi-finalists include Nepth Micro V. Apil; Lady Kyla S. Balibagoso; and Fred Henrieck B. Casañare.

The semi-finalists have successfully navigated the bid entry assessments and essay writing round, securing their place in the next phase of the competition. They will now proceed to Orion: The Interview Rounds, the final stage of screening, scheduled for April 5 at Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo (Arevalo Hall).

They will undergo a series of panel interviews and leadership evaluations before the final selection of awardees. Organizers have encouraged all participants to continue making a difference, regardless of the results.

The Outstanding Students of Iloilo Awards (TOSIA) is a flagship program of the Junior Chamber International – Regatta (JCI Regatta) which intends to give honor and recognition to well-rounded Ilonggo students who excel in academics, leadership, community, and faith and in creating positive change. It is also a salute to schools for molding their students to be young active citizens.
