On July 16, 2026, Centralian graduates 2LT Clarezza Mae P. Dolor, PA, who ranked sixth in the 2026 Officer Candidate Course, and 2LT John RJ D. Gallego, PA, paid a courtesy call on University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy at the Office of the President.

The visit recognized the achievements of the two Centralian graduates and highlighted their career advancement as officers of the Philippine Army. They were presented as among the Centralians recruited into the Philippine Army by Technical Sergeant Julius C. Sorongon (Art), PA, Recruitment NCO of the Army Recruitment Office Visayas (ARO-Visayas). One of the recruits was identified during the Pre-Employment Orientation for Workforce Entrants’ Readiness (POWER), an initiative spearheaded by the CPU Job Placement Office (JPO).

During the meeting, discussions also included possible future programs and collaborations between CPU and the Philippine Army, particularly in creating opportunities for students and graduates interested in military service, leadership development, and professional growth.

2LT Dolor graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from CPU in 2020. During her years at the University, she was recognized as the Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year, served as Team Captain of the CPU Women’s Basketball Team, and was a Varsity Scholar from 2015 to 2020. She is also a Registered Civil Engineer and Registered Master Plumber.

Meanwhile, 2LT Gallego, a graduate of the CPU College of Computer Studies with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree in 2022, was a varsity basketball player from Grade 12 through his college years, representing CPU in athletic competitions while pursuing his studies.

The visit highlighted the continued achievements of Centralians in various fields and the University’s commitment to supporting graduates as they pursue careers in service, leadership, and nation-building.
