CPU advances its commitment to innovation as works by Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa and Prof. Praise Enriquez Glory, facilitated by Ms. Ligaya Villarias-Caniel, are granted copyright protection.

Central Philippine University (CPU) continues to strengthen its culture of innovation and creative scholarship as several works of research and technology development and instructional materials were officially granted copyright registration.

Issued by the Bureau of Copyright and Related Rights of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), the certificates cover works classified under A – Books, pamphlets, articles and other writings. All registrations were issued on August 27, 2024 and March 11, 2025.

Research and Technology Innovations

Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa successfully secured copyright registrations for the following works:

  • “The 12 Rights of the Filipino Child (Classroom Material)”

The successful registration of these works reflects CPU’s continuing commitment to intellectual property protection, research innovation, and the development of quality instructional resources. By safeguarding creative and scholarly outputs, the University reinforces its mission of advancing knowledge while ensuring that the rights of its innovators and educators are duly recognized and protected.

The registration process was facilitated by Ms. Ligaya Villarias-Caniel, Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) Focal Person, whose assistance helped ensure the proper documentation and filing of the applications.
