Central Philippine University National Service Training Program (CPU NSTP) conducted a lecture on National Security on July 18, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

The program opened with greetings, the NSTP cheer, and the reading of house rules led by Ms. Charissa June Deocampo, followed by a trivia activity and the presentation of the Clean As You Go (CLAYGO) video.

A devotional segment was also held, featuring the prelude “Purify My Heart,” the devotional song “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” and a devotional message delivered by Ms. Chilou Batoon.

The program continued with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the recitation of the Panatang Makabayan. Mrs. Ma. Leen C. Gahum delivered the welcome remarks and introduced the guest speaker, Ms. Lea S. Alvarez, Head of the Secretariat Situational and Knowledge Management Cluster.

Alvarez discussed the importance of national security and highlighted the role of citizens in promoting peace, safety, and stability. She also emphasized the significance of NSTP in developing students’ commitment to service, leadership, and nation-building.

An open forum followed the lecture, allowing participants to raise questions and engage in discussions related to the topic. Certificates and tokens were later presented by Assoc. Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos and Mrs. Ma. Leen C. Gahum in recognition of the speakers’ participation.

The program concluded with a community singing of “Better World,” announcements, the singing of the Alma Mater Song, and a closing prayer. Mrs. Myla C. Cañas served as the program emcee.
