Resource persons and presenters from various institutions during the ATESEA Digital Repository Seminar-Workshop at the Knowledge for Development Center (KDC), Henry Luce III Library, from June 2 to 4, 2026.

Central Philippine University (CPU), through the Henry Luce III Library, hosted the Workshop-Seminar on the Establishment of the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA) Digital Repository from June 2 to 4, 2026, at the Knowledge for Development Center (KDC).

The three-day workshop gathered librarians and representatives from various institutions across Southeast Asia to collaborate on the development of a digital repository dedicated to preserving and expanding access to theological education resources in the region.

Serving as resource persons were Stephen Alayon, Associate Professor and Program Chair of the Library and Information Science Program of West Visayas State University; Elvi Nemiz, Officer-in-Charge of the Institutional Repository and Data Services Unit of SEAFDEC/AQD; and Vince Ervin Palcullo, Archivist, Special Collection and Institutional Repository Librarian of CPU. Presenters included Megumi Flores, Library Director of the Leslie Hardinge Library of Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), and Ma. Nora V. Del Rosario, Head Librarian of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS).

One of the highlights of the 3-day workshop was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between ATESEA and CPU for the establishment of the ATESEA Digital Repository. The agreement was signed by Rev. Dr. Kenneth Tsang, President of the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Hong Kong, and Dr. Florence P. Bogacia, Vice President for Finance and Enterprises and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the President. Witnessing the signing were Dr. Limuel R. Equina, ATESEA Executive Director, and Assoc. Prof. Ma. Cynthia T. Peleña, Director of Libraries of the CPU Henry Luce III Library, together with the workshop participants.

The MOA signing marked a significant milestone in the initiative, formalizing the partnership to preserve, organize, and expand access to theological education resources across Southeast Asia.
