Central Philippine University (CPU) held a campus-wide Prayer Walk on July 1, 2026, organized by the University Church headed by Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Cris Amorsolo V. Sian. The gathering brought together members of the Centralian community as part of the University’s spiritual preparation for Academic Year 2026–2027.

The University Church served as the assembly area for the participants before they proceeded to designated prayer stations across the campus. Guided by the Scripture from 2 Chronicles 7:14, the community offered prayers for the various sectors of the University and sought God’s guidance, protection, and blessings for the coming academic year.

The first prayer station was at the Rose Memorial Auditorium area, covering the University Gym, Henry Luce III Library, swimming pool, softball and tennis courts, Anatomy Building, and Fine Arts facilities. Participants prayed for students’ academic, physical, social, and spiritual growth, safety during sports activities and school events, discipline, teamwork, creativity, healthy competition, and the faithful use of talents and gifts. Prayers were also offered for the library to continue serving as a place of wisdom, learning, and focus.

The second prayer station was at the Centennial Walkway, covering the dormitories and residential houses, cafeterias and food stalls, and the Office of Communications. Participants prayed for unity, kindness, and healthy friendships among students, especially those living away from home. The fourth station at the Junior High School Gymnasium focused on the Junior High School and Senior High School departments. Prayers were offered for students to grow in wisdom, character, and faith while being protected from harmful influences and peer pressure. Teachers, advisers, and parents were also remembered, with prayers for guidance, confidence, emotional strength, and a strong foundation for every learner’s future.

The fifth station at the University Field highlighted the contributions of the University’s support personnel, including Facilities Management Services, Emergency Management Services, General Utility Management, Building Utility Management, security personnel, agency workers, the University Clinic and Student Center, and Motorpool staff. Prayers were offered for their strength, protection, safety, good health, provision for their families, fair treatment, and appreciation for their dedicated service to the University.
