Companies and Jobseekers during the JOBFAIR@CENTRAL2026.

Central Philippine University through its Job Placement Office reaffirmed its commitment to graduate employability and sustainable development as it successfully conducted JOBFAIR@CENTRAL 2026: The CPU Annual Campus Job Fair on April 18, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

Jobseekers posed after they were hired on the spot during the JOBFAIR@CENTRAL2026.

A total of 15 applicants were hired on the spot, demonstrating the event’s immediate impact. Furthermore, the event recorded strong participation, with 229 registered applicants and 237 qualified candidates. Meanwhile, 406 applicants were endorsed for further interviews, reflecting sustained employment opportunities for job seekers.

The job fair gathered 30 participating companies from various industries, offering a wide range of employment opportunities. Support services were further strengthened through help desks from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and DOLE, providing assistance on licensure, employment requirements, and labor concerns.

The opening ceremony was highlighted by a ribbon-cutting led by Engr. Dany C. Molina, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the President of Central Philippine University; Ms. Rouella Cheyenne C. Aberia, Job Placement Officer of Central Philippine University; Mr. Gabriel Felix Umadhay, PESO Manager of Iloilo City; Ms. Ross Ann Minerva, Labor and Employment Officer of PESO-IPG; and Mr. Danny Espinosa, Senior LEO of DOLE. Their presence emphasized the strong collaboration between the academe and government institutions in promoting workforce development.

Organized by the University’s Job Placement Office, the event was held in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office Iloilo City, Public Employment Service Office Iloilo Provincial Government, and the Department of Labor and Employment. BS Business Management students also served as co-facilitators, contributing to the efficient flow of the activity.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 8, the job fair contributed to the promotion of decent work, productive employment, and economic growth by directly linking job seekers to potential employers. The initiative highlights the university’s role in supporting inclusive labor market access and preparing graduates for meaningful careers.
