On February 14, 2024, 8 Japanese Students from Tsuru Bunka University in Japan visited Central Philippine University for their study tour together with Prof. Uchiyama Fumiko and Prof. Iko Toshiya.
During the program held at KDC, Henry Luce III Library, the Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Esther Rose Romarate, CPU Alumni President, Atty. Jeremy Bionat and the Ma. Cynthia T. Peleña, the Director of Libraries welcomed the visitors from Japan.
Rev. Francis Neil Jalando-on, Director, Office of Communications, discussed the lessons of the story of Hopevale Martyrs in the middle of World War II. Pastor Rudel Obed Dianala answered the questions of the visitors during the open forum. The closing remarks and pray was given by Pastor Jec Dan S. Borlado.

After the program, the Japanese visitors went to the exhibit of the Hopevale Martyrs in the hallway of the library and at the replica of the Cathedral in the Glen in between the library and Rose Memorial Auditorium.
