On October 27, 2022, one of the multi-awarded Centralians in the field of Education, Dr. Maredil R. Ambos received the “Philippine’s Most Exemplary Educator and Community Service Advocate” Award – in the 4th Dangal ng Lahi Awards at the Waterfront Hotel in Davao City.

The award was given for his outstanding recognitions based on the following criteria.

Achievement: Awards of special citations referred by institutions, organizations, clients or community.

Community Involvement: His empowerment to bring positivity, brings measurable changes to institutions, communities or individuals.

Customer Relations: The awardee fosters progressive relations with clients, customers or to any individuals in the institution or community.

Influence and Trend Setting: The awardee has a good influence to the clientele. He imposes a high degree of knowledge and opinion; exhibits high level of credibility and confidence to friends and followers.

Ambos who is a CPU Faculty and Coordinator for BEEd Program and Professional Education Subjects has previously received several other international awards in education and community service;

The award in Filipino says, “Ang DANGAL NG LAHI ay binubuo ng lupon ng mga propesyonal sa ibat-ibang larangan upang bigyan ng KARANGALAN ang mga Filipino sa kanilang KAHUSAYAN at KADAKILAAN. Karapat dapat lamang na sila ay makilala sa pamamagitan ng pag gawad ng isang natatanging parangal upang panghusayan pa nila ang kanilang ginagawa.

In dedicating his award, Ambos said, “I would like to extend my gratitude to Central Philippine University headed by Dr. Teodoro C. Robles for the opportunity to grow professionally and to the CPU College of Education family headed by our Dean, Dr. Merle L. Junsay for the mentorship, encouragement and support.”

“I am sharing this recognition to all “Bonggaetan” teachers, my students, friends, family members and my wife – Ma’am Mary Jane Ambos. Above all, to the great Teacher and Scoutmaster – our Dear God, thank you for your goodness, faithfulness, love and the gift of service to humanity. It is truly an incredible feeling for me to be selected as a deserving individual for this distinction. I am truly indebted to all.”
