CPU Alumni Association, Inc. President Atty. Joshua C. Alim disclosed some plans for the university and the alumni during his administration. “Due to the global crises brought about by the pandemic, we have deferred implementation of the projects, but those are on the way”, he said.

Alim who is also Chairman of the CPUAAI Centennial Celebration gave importance on the Work Student assistance and scholarship grants. According to Alim, “CPUAAI earlier extended cash assistance to poor but deserving work students thru the CPU Student Republic (CPUR)”.

“On the other hand, we are positive on working out budgets for some outreach programs and scholarship grants, he added.

Among other projects, it was learned that, “the lagoon in front of the CPUAAI Office will be enhanced by adding a water fountain in it”, he said. CPU is well known for its parks, gardens and gazebos. The 24-hectare campus is well maintained by the grounds personnel.

During his incumbency as Iloilo City Councilor, Alim authored a City Council resolution that declared Central Philippine University as a Tourism Site.
