On September 30, 2023, Central Philippine University’s Rose Memorial Auditorium played host to the much-anticipated 2023 Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly. This event brought together a remarkable gathering of 605 registered CPU alumni from various parts of the country and abroad.

This year’s theme, “Central Spirit: Honoring the Generations of Empowered Centralian Women,” underscored the significance of gender equality and the empowerment of women. This theme was particularly timely, given the recent global calls for concrete commitments from world leaders to address gender equality issues and promote women’s empowerment as a key component of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The weekend festivities commenced with an inspiring welcome by the CPU Symphonic Band, whose music resonated near the steps of the Rose Memorial Auditorium. The opening ceremony began with a morning meditation led by Pastor Justine Palmes Miject, University Church Associate Pastor, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, conducted by Ms. Crista S. Huyong, the CAO Director.
