An additional amount of P200,130.00 was donated by the Central Philippine University Alumni Association—United Arab Emirates (CPUAA UAE) Chapter for their existing scholarship program. The turnover of donation was held on June 3, 2024, at the Office of the President.

The donation was turned over by CPUAA UAE Adviser, Engr. Vilma Clave, together with Vice President-External Reana Rose Tolones, to CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy and other CPU officials and CPUAAI officers.

Engr. Vilma Clave is a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering batch of 1990 and was the former president of the said chapter. On the other hand, Reana Rose Tolones is a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting graduate batch of 2003 and a former work student assistant at the Henry Luce III Library.

“The significant event was also witnessed by key university officers, emphasizing CPUAA UAE’s commitment to its scholarship program since the chapter’s inception,” Mr. Rudy Llanora, CPUAA UAE President, shared in his Facebook post.

The success of the said turnover was facilitated by the CPUAA UAE Chapter President, Mr. Rudy Llanora, and Mrs. Tina Marie P. Hortelano, CPUAAI Liaison Officer.

“Heartfelt thanks to everyone for sharing your blessings and making a positive impact on the lives of our students,” Llanora added.

As the CPUAA UAE Chapter continues to give back to Central, they perpetuate a cycle of empowerment that enriches the lives of students and strengthens the bonds of the alumni community. They are opening doors of opportunity and support for deserving Centralian students who are financially challenged.
