Celebrating big and small wins–“Soar high, Senior High!” The entire “Steelhawk” community squawked this cheer at the Rose Memorial Auditorium on June 7, 2023, Wednesday, as it celebrated Senior High School Day to commemorate the academic year and its fruitful accomplishments.
The event started with opening remarks from the acting principal, Mrs. Benjie Ne Gallinero, which was then followed by the different performances from the students, who showcased their talents in singing, dancing, playing instruments, acting, and public speaking.
The primary objective of the event was to recognize the students who have generously and passionately shared their God-given talents and skills which have all contributed to Senior High School’s success.
The steelhawks who soared during this year’s Centralian Fest (held last April) were once again acknowledged. The mother organization, Inang Lawin, also gave merits to the clubs and organizations for their active participation as well as to deserving student leaders for their service while the republics were also awarded for their exemplary performance. The NMPL Republic was recognized as the champion; the ABM Republic as the 1st runner-up; HUMSS Republic as the 2nd runner-up; and the EITA Republic as the 3rd runner-up.
To end the event, Senior High School Governor Danielle Virl Idemne gave her final remarks to thank the students and praise the Lord for His faithfulness throughout the entire academic year. The celebration continued in the afternoon as the council, republics, and some clubs had fun activities in their respective booths.
