Dr. Mario A. Tajanlangit, a business consultant and part-time faculty of Central Philippine University School of Graduate Studies, commended the readiness of Central Philippine University to cater to the online needs of the public, the alumni, faculty, and staff, parents and students. He expressed that CPU was already ready before the pandemic started because it has various online platforms.

He pointed out the “importance of such online outlets, where the communication needs of students, parents, and clients are easily accessible.” He reiterated the invaluable work of the CPU Office of Communications especially during this time of the pandemic. He regularly reads the online publication, the Weekly Centralian Link, and its other information outlets – the CPU website, CPU Facebook Page, and CPU TV Channel Facebook Live. Tajanlangit particularly noted the capability of live streaming and video presentations thru the CPUTV Channel Facebook live.

The CPUTV Channel was the first to produce the virtual graduation ceremonies of the different colleges of CPU in whole Western Visayas. Parents and students were grateful for the live streaming which was seen all over the world during the commencement exercises. It has even garnered national news from ABS-CBN.

Tajanlangit particularly thanked CPU Office of Communications led by its Director Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on for consistently publishing the Weekly Centralian Link. The online publication reaches thousands of CPU alumni readers, whose need for news and information from the CPU campus is essential. Part of the publication features the CPU alumni abroad, international and important local events involving the University, students, faculty, and staff.
