Central Philippine University (CPU) has been officially welcomed as the newest student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Philippines Chapter, according to a recent Facebook post by IMA Philippines last July 16, 2024.

The IMA Philippines Chapter aims to support students in their journey towards becoming future management accounting professionals. Their mission focuses on providing a platform for research, practical experience, education, knowledge sharing, and advocating for the highest ethical and best practices in both management accounting and finance.

CPU’s Junior Philippine Association of Management Accountants (JPAMA) echoed their excitement in a separate Facebook post. “With Central Philippine University being the newest addition to the Student Chapter, we look forward to working with IMA Philippines Chapter as we share the same goals and vision of fostering excellence, leadership, and development among our members,” the JPAMA statement reads.

Both organizations expressed confidence in the future, believing their collaboration will lead to “great things” and a “lasting impact on our community.” This marks CPU as the 15th IMA Philippines Student Chapter in the country. JPAMA reiterated their commitment, stating, “Each day, we strive to make a difference for management accounting students.”
