Poral readies himself to represent CPU in the upcoming Radyo Bandera Live Reporting Contest.

Communication student Ryan Dave Poral is currently preparing to represent Central Philippine University for the upcoming 1st ever Radyo Bandera Iloilo Live Reporting contest on April 18 at SM City Iloilo.

On March 10, 2023, Poral was chosen to represent the university after an intense audition with other communication students from the College of Arts and Sciences.

“I am very happy and honoured to represent Central Philippine University. Honestly, I am somewhat fearful but I will do my best for God and for Central,” Poral said

The Radyo Bandera Iloilo also conducted a workshop last March 18 at St. Clements Hall in Lapaz. Contestants and coaches from schools and universities around Iloilo joined the said event. They had the opportunity to listen and learn from different media personalities of the said station.

In Hiligaynon, he said, “Ginahanda ko gid akon kaugalingon. Pag- workshop ginalista ko gid ang mga tips sang mga speakers plus naga pamati na gid ko sa radio. Indi ini siya ang kinaandan nga news casting competition nga basahon mo lang ang script. Ang pagpanghangkat sini amo kon paano mo ma idul-ong ang balita sa imo anchorman kag audience nga klaro kag wala sang sala.”

The Department of Languages, Mass Communication and Humanities supports Poral in his upcoming contest through moral and financial ways.
