3 Centralians and leaders of the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches, Inc. (CPBC) have been elected to serve in the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) commissions.

CPBC General Secretary Rev. Dr. Jerson Narciso (Bth., M.Div.) was elected to the Committee on Interfaith Relations, College of Theology Dean Dr. Bernabe Pagara (B.Th., cum laude) to the Commission on Theological Education, College of Theology faculty member Prof. Joshua Zonita (B.Th., M.Th., M.Div.) to the Commission on Baptist Doctrine and Christian Unity.

Their appointment was announced by CPBC on their Facebook page on August 26. They will serve in their respective commissions and committees from the year 2020-2025.

The Baptist World Alliance (BWA) is a worldwide alliance of Baptist churches. The organization counts 47,000,000 people in 2020 and is the largest organization of Baptist churches in the world. Less than a half of the world’s Baptists are affiliated with BWA.
