Joel Sumadic, co-founder of Project Access Granted, encouraged participants to be vigilant in sharing information on-line.
Participants enjoyed a fun-filled and information packed seminar on cyber security.
According to Mr. Canuto, there is a growing need to emphasize the importance of cybersecurity in the era of social media: “Hacking has been very prevalent nowadays. Project Access Granted has been advocating cyber security for about four years now. We were organized last 2015 and have been promoting our advocacy all around the country.”
To ensure one’s protection in the cyber age, he advises vigilance and alertness, “Be wary of suspicious links. In social media sites, do not accept friend requests from strangers, don’t post everything on-line—be vigilant with the information you share.”
