Central Philippine University’s New Valentine Building (NV) was successfully repainted following a PHP 1.4 million donation given by Mrs. Charo Jallorina Richards, an alumna of the university’s College of Nursing, and her spouse, Mr. Tony Richards.
According to Mrs. Richards, they chose to power the beautification of NV in honor of her brother and his wife who are Certified Public Accountants and Centralian alumni of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), formerly known as the College of Commerce.
The New Valentine Building is home to CBA and the School of Graduate Studies.
In an interview with The Centralian Link, Dr. Lorna T. Grande, CPU-College of Business and Accountancy Dean, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the donors on behalf of the CBA faculty and staff, further sharing how this donation paved the way for a beautification that has long been awaited for by the college.
