Jobs180.com presented some tips to the graduating students of CPU.
The CPU Job Placement office sponsored a Pre-Employment Orientation Webinar for Entrant’s Readiness (POWER) into the Workforce Session. It was endorsed by the offices of Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs and approved by the University President, Dr. Teodoro C. Robles. All graduating students are required to attend the POWER session. Its first session garnered approximately Eight thousand and eight hundred viewers on Facebook live and some actively participated on the comment section.
They partnered with Companies like Jobs180.com, Inspiro, Accenture and Transcom to discuss the four topics namely; Online Applications, Virtual Interviews, Top Skills Employer’s look, and Developing work ethics. Mr. Kim Chua was the first presentor, he is the Managing Director of Jobs180.com. He introduced the site and also taught the students on how to create a job winning resumes online. Resume link is the new thing, not only that it is free, it also makes the process of sending job aplications to companies efficient. Mr. Chua highlighted that one of its main features is it is secured, even when you put it out there, you can still manage who sees your information.
It is indeed the most advanced and practical resume that will make your job hunting easier as the website not only provides a platform but links your skills to job openings and opportunities.
The second presentor was Mr. Eugene Pueyo, a talent acquisition sourcing specialist at Inspiro. He emphasized the importance of acing your virtual interview. He also gave tips on how to prepare for the interview that will surely improve the applicant’s performance such as researching beforehand about the company’s background; the proper way to present yourself; setting up the background for the virtual interview.
Following Mr. Pueyo was Mr. Allan Irinco, a Service Delivery Ops Analyst at Accenture, he introduced S2S Academy where students can access modules that will help them flourish their employability skills. Courses are being offered at New Skills Now that will also enrich any student with basic leadership skills.
To discuss about Work Ethics Miss Paula Gallan, a Sourcing Manager and Miss Denise Nachor a Recruitment Supervisor at Transcom were the last presenters to present. At this point of the presentation the graduating students were reminded the value of the appropriate characteristics to possess in order to function excellently in the field that they have chosen.
