A new chapter begins! CPU JHS students kick off the school year with the ‘Victory Reimagined’ orientation.

Last July 29, 2024, the Central Philippine University Junior High School (CPUJHS) Student Council, in collaboration with the CPUJHS Faculty and Staff, hosted a grand general orientation titled “Victory Reimagined.” The orientation aimed to welcome students, introduce key personnel and regulations, and create a positive atmosphere for the start of the academic year.

The event opened with a warm welcome and significant introductions, including the CPU President and Vice Presidents. Charlett B. Dianala, the CPU Junior High School Principal, delivered the opening remarks, acknowledging the presence of esteemed guests: CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Irving Domingo L. Rio, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Finance and Enterprises Dr. Florence P. Bogacia, and Vice President for Administration Engr. Dany Molina, along with teachers and students.

Principal Dianala encouraged the students with a powerful message rooted in faith and perseverance. “My dear students, I encourage you to seek God first. Matthew 6:33 says, ‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ So let God be your partner in all your endeavors. Believe that your abilities can be developed through hard work and perseverance,” she stated.

President Dagohoy underscored the significance of students to the university and highlighted CPU’s Christian heritage. He encouraged students to embody the school’s ideals as they pursue their education and beyond.

The orientation also covered crucial introductions to the CPU JHS community, including the presentation of rules and regulations, the introduction of CPU JHS faculty and staff, and a brief history of CPU. The program also featured selected CPU JHS students who shared their expectations for the academic year, along with engaging activities such as games and jamming sessions to make the event memorable.

As the program drew to a close, CPU JHS Governor Magbanua challenged the students to start the academic year with a “Victorious Roar,” quoting, “Every great achievement starts with the decision to try.” She emphasized that every student should strive to make their high school life unforgettable.

The “Victory Reimagined” orientation set a positive and enthusiastic tone for the upcoming school year, inspiring students to embrace their educational journey with faith, hard work, and a spirit of excellence.

The orientation was ably hosted by Francheska MJ A. Jalando-on and Christian Ace Modesto.
