Central Philippine University (CPU) concluded its week-long University Week celebration with a grand awarding ceremony on October 18, 2024. Held at the Alumni Promenade Concert Park, the event recognized the outstanding achievements of students in various academic, athletic, and cultural competitions.

The ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthem, followed by the CPU Alma Mater Song. Ma’am Crista S. Huyong, Director of the CPU Cultural Affairs Office (COA), delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the significance of University Week in fostering unity and camaraderie within the CPU community.

A wide range of competitions were held throughout the week, including choral, folk dance, hip-hop, poetry choir, street dance, vocal solo pop, vocal duet pop, basketball, football, volleyball, mixed frisbee, badminton, lawn tennis, aquathlon, table tennis, chess, billiards, English declamation, Binalaybay, extemporaneous speaking, character interpretation, English oration, Bible quiz bee, science quiz bee, math quiz bee, general information quiz bee, and debate.

The Senior High School emerged as the overall champion of University Week 2024, showcasing their exceptional performance across multiple disciplines. Other notable winners included the College of Business and Accountancy, College of Nursing, Junior High School, and the College of Engineering.

The awardees received medals, certificates, and trophies in recognition of their achievements. The event saw a vibrant display of CPU’s talents, with participants excelling in various categories, from performing arts to sports and academic competitions.
