Jennifer Erika Angeles (left), a 3rd Year BS Social Work student finishes off as 3rd Place and Danica Kate Dionio (right), a 3rd Year AB Political Science and Public Administration student enters the Top 15 Finalists in the JCI Iloilo Ilang Ilang’s Ang Ilongga Awardees: The Search for Outstanding Woman Student Leader in Iloilo was held at SM City Iloilo last June 17, 2023.
Two Centralians from the home of the Mighty Panthers, College of Arts and Sciences, refused to go home empty-handed from the JCI Iloilo Ilang- Ilang, “Ang Ilongga Awardees” – Search for Outstanding Woman Student Leader in Iloilo last June 17, 2023.
Danica Kate Dionio, a third year Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration Student, made it to the Top 15 Finalists while Jennifer Erika Angeles, a third year Bachelor of Science in Social Work student, entered the Top 5 and ranked third in the recently concluded event held at SM City Iloilo. Dionio and Angeles were joined by other women student leaders all over Iloilo who served as inspirations in different fields of leadership. The search for outstanding student leaders who exhibit competence, resiliency, grace and good values and character in their schools and communities started last April 2023 .
The program was graced by distinct individuals like Ms. Pauline Ann Onday, JCI Ilang- Ilang President, Ms. Ivy P. Cubid, AVP Area IV of JCI Philippines, Mr. Allan Quimpo, RVP for Western Visayas- JCI Philippines, Mr. Roilio Vincent Laguna, PPO III – CPD Region VI, and Ms. Lara Jeunesse Villaruel, Overall Chairperson of AIA Year 8. Former Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo also extended her support and appreciation.
JCI Iloilo Ilang Ilang is a non-government organization that leads all female organizations in the Province of Iloilo composed of young active citizens from different backgrounds working together to create a positive change.
