The awardees of the Professorial Chair and Incentive.

Professors who excelled in their educational work for the University were acknowledged during the Professorial and Incentive ceremony on July 28, 2023 in the afternoon at the CPU Educational Media Center. In recognizing their efforts and outstanding contributions, Central Philippine University handed over the awards to 34 recipients. There were 16 Professorial Chair Awardees, and 18 Incentive Awardees. The awardees received checks of P30,000 – for recipients of Professorial Chair, and P15,000 for recipients of Incentive.

In his message, CPU President Dr. Teodoro C. Robles emphasized that “The high ratings and enrollment of students in CPU are attributed to the untiring efforts and performance of the teachers.” He added that, “Despite the free tuition in State Universities, student still prefer to study in CPU. This is not just a perception, but a reality.”

Pastor Justin Palmes Mije, Associate Minister for Campus Ministries, delivered an inspirational message. She shared a biblical understanding of a story from the book of Acts 3:6-10, and asked this question, “What do you have now that you can give to others? Will you walk the extra mile to help others?”

The response was delivered by one of the Professorial Chair awardees, Dr. Bernabe Pagara, Dean of the CPU College of Theology. Thanks and acknowledgement were given to the annual Professorial Chair and Incentives Awards 2023 Committee led by Dr. Carmen Hernandez.
