On May 5, 2024, the CPU-College of Hospitality Management unveils TechnoCouture: Voyage to Glam 7.0, a futuristic fashion spectacle blending artistry, technology, and tradition, showcasing the visionary designs of talented students and guest creators.
On the radiant evening of May 5, 2024, the College of Hospitality Management at Central Philippine University, through the HPC2206 (Introduction to Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) class, proudly unveiled one of its most breathtaking productions yet—TechnoCouture: Voyage to Glam 7.0, the culminating fashion spectacle of the grand event Voyager entitled “18th RoboSphere.” Held as the evening’s highlight, this extraordinary show was a masterstroke of creative ingenuity, technical prowess, and artistic expression—bridging the timeless essence of hospitality with the bold frontier of futuristic design.
The show opened with a symbolic runway segment featuring students in their official uniforms, paying homage to the College’s identity of professionalism, service, and heritage. This served as the prelude to the Robot Catwalk—a bold visual display blurring the line between human and machine. It set the tone for the evening with a statement of imaginative power and possibility.
A heartfelt welcome followed from overall chairperson Angel Kristine Ang, whose message resonated deeply: “This is not just a fashion show; this is a movement. A celebration of the fusion between artistry and technology, tradition and transformation.”
As the lights dimmed and music swelled, the runway came alive with a stunning series of futuristic interpretations from a talented lineup of designers: Kyle Delwyn Chuasieng’s “Cosmic Meets Liwanag” glowed with celestial elegance and cultural pride. Rick Clay Emplamado’s “Initial Trigger” explored the spark of innovation through structured forms. Guest designer Ericka Celiz presented “The Art of Human Anatomy and Forms,” a tribute to the human figure in sculptural fashion. Jude Palma’s “Art Vandalism” rebelled with bold colors and street-inspired aesthetics. James Mistranza’s “Patyoniway” paid homage to Filipino heritage with modern silhouettes and indigenous flair. Closing the show, Fritz Caancan’s “Zodiac Radiance” dazzled with astrology-inspired ensembles rich in symbolism and luminescence.
The emotional finale gathered all designers and models onstage—an inspiring constellation of creativity and collaboration, greeted with thunderous applause from a captivated audience.
What set TechnoCouture: Voyage to Glam 7.0 apart was its role as a living classroom. Conceived and executed by the HPC2206 class under the guidance of Professor Denie Erwin Tan, the event was a shining example of experiential learning—where theory met practice, and imagination was made real through disciplined execution.
The event drew a distinguished audience, including University President Dr. Ernest Howard Dagohoy, university administrators, CHM faculty, CPU students, event sponsors, and prominent members of the Iloilo creative community. Their presence affirmed strong support for student-driven initiatives that dare to innovate and inspire.
TechnoCouture: Voyage to Glam 7.0 stands as a testament to what happens when passion meets purpose, when tradition embraces transformation, and when the future is not just envisioned—but confidently walked down the runway.
