The Central Philippine University Republic (CPUR) recently conducted “Taktikal Central,” a strategic planning session to produce a unified calendar for the First Semester of the School Year 2024-2025. This event, held on July 11, 2024, at the American Corner, Henry Luce III Library, brought together representatives from the CPUR, the Work Students Organization, and the Local Government Units (LGUs).

The increasing number of programs and projects targeting the student body has presented challenges in balancing academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities. Taktikal Central was initiated to address these challenges by introducing systematic approaches to streamline and enhance the implementation of programs by the Republic and its umbrella sectors. The strategic planning session provided a collaborative platform for the LGUs and WSO to work with CPUR and the administration, fostering a more organized and strategic approach to managing time and responsibilities.

The primary objectives of Taktikal Central include improving the management of academic and extracurricular activities, thus contributing to a more efficient educational environment aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. The initiative also aims to enhance strategic planning within the student body, ensuring better coordination and alignment with educational goals. One of the key outcomes of this session is the creation of a unified CPUR Calendar, consolidating all major events and programs to facilitate better planning and prevent scheduling conflicts.

Moreover, Taktikal Central seeks to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of student-led programs and activities at the university. This initiative ensures comprehensive participation and informed decision-making by promoting cohesive coordination and active involvement of all sectors in the planning process. Through collaboration, students are provided with comprehensive information on upcoming programs, fostering transparency and informed participation in the academic year’s activities.
