On July 14, 2025, the Central Philippine University Republic (CPUR) successfully held this year’s “Taktikal Central”, a strategic planning and coordination session aimed at crafting a unified student activity calendar for the Summer and First Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026. The session, held at the Educational Media Center, brought together key representatives from the CPUR 21st Parliament, Local Government Units (LGUs), and the Work Students Organization (WSO).
As student-led programs and initiatives continue to grow in number and scale, challenges have also emerged in balancing these activities with academic priorities. In response, Taktikal Central was initiated as a proactive step to streamline the planning and scheduling of events across all sectors. This year’s session focused on refining coordination processes and ensuring that student leaders work hand in hand to promote synergy, prevent overlapping of schedules, and boost the overall effectiveness of student governance.
The program emphasized the importance of strategic alignment among all stakeholders, underscoring the CPUR’s continued commitment to promoting Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education through responsible planning and student engagement. The result of this collaborative effort was the creation of a Unified CPUR Calendar, which now serves as a consolidated reference for all recognized student events and major initiatives under the first semester.
Beyond improving time and resource management, Taktikal Central also aims to cultivate a culture of shared responsibility, foresight, and inclusivity in planning. By giving LGUs, the WSO, and CPUR a platform for dialogue and cooperation, the activity helps ensure that student-driven initiatives are aligned with institutional goals while being responsive to student needs.
The CPUR remains steadfast in its mission to build more organized, strategic, and inclusive systems of governance—placing students at the center of decision-making while championing transparency, efficiency, and academic success.
