CPU Libraries representatives Assoc. Prof. Ma. Cynthia T. Peleña, RL, MLIS, and Prof. Rhea Joy T. Fernandez, RL, MLIS, present their paper, “Shaping Learning Through Innovation: The Henry Luce III Library Experience,” at the 2025 International Conference on Good Practices in Library Management held on October 31, 2025, at Tra Vinh University, Vietnam.
Tra Vinh University, in partnership with the Vietnamese-German University, successfully hosted the 2025 International Conference on “Good Practices in Library Management” on October 31, 2025, at Tra Vinh University, Vietnam.
The hybrid conference brought together academic library professionals from across Asia, including delegates from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Singapore Management University (Singapore), Vin University (Vietnam), and three institutions from the Philippines – Central Philippine University (CPU), Southern Leyte State University, and the University of Southeastern Philippines.
Representing the CPU Libraries were Assoc. Prof. Ma. Cynthia T. Peleña, RL, MLIS, Director of Libraries and Prof. Rhea Joy T. Fernandez, RL, MLIS, Elementary School Librarian. Both are faculty members of the university’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Library and Information Science, where they teach subjects in Library Management. They presented their paper, “Shaping Learning Through Innovation: The Henry Luce III Library Experience,” which highlighted the library’s innovative practices and its ongoing efforts to contribute to global conversations on effective and future-ready library management.
The one-day conference workshop featured ten presentations delivered by speakers from various delegations. Organized into two working sessions, the event strengthened regional collaboration and offered a meaningful platform for libraries to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and envision responsive and innovative library services for the future.
