CPU CHM recognized the 6 students who completed the basic language course for international internship.

The Dr. Lucio C. Tan College of Hospitality Management organized a “Recognition Luncheon” on July 27, 2023 to honor six outstanding 3rd-year students from the said college — Daniela Marie Allanic, Francesca Patreece Calma, Marielle Elesa Debuque, Trisha Sabando, Arianne Jessa Santuyo, and Pauline Grace Uy. The event commemorated their successful completion of a 6-month basic Japanese language course in preparation for an overseas internship program in Japan. This remarkable achievement was made possible through a crucial partnership between the Nagoya International School of Japanese Language, led by esteemed CEO President Ota Masataka, and College of Hospitality Management, represented by the dynamic college dean, Prof. Ma. Medalla P. Baliao together with the college Student Internship Abroad Coordinator Prof. Ismael A. Almajar Jr. and faculty, staff present.

During the celebratory gathering, the students’ dedication in mastering the Japanese language and preparing for an international internship was recognized. President Ota Masataka delivered an inspiring message, highlighting the pivotal role of this internship program in shaping the younger generation’s career paths. His emphasis on the value of international partnerships in academics underscored the transformative experiences students gain by immersing themselves in different cultures and industries.

The Recognition Luncheon not only celebrated the students’ achievements but also served as the occasion where they received a certification validating their completion of the 180-hour Basic Elementary Japanese Language Course.

The collaboration between Nagoya International School of Japanese Language and Dr. Lucio C. Tan, College of Hospitality Management exemplifies the effectiveness of collaboration to create unique learning opportunities.
