Providing care to people who once cared for us is one of life greatest honors.

A heartwarming event took place last week as local organizations joined forces to support the elderly in Iloilo City. Project Ulikid, a fundraising activity for the elderly care program, was held on April 27, 2024, at Asilo de Molo, and proved to be a resounding success.

Spearheaded by CPU Female Society, CPU Biological Society, Junior Social Workers Association of the Philippines – CPU Chapter, and Asilo de Molo Inc., the event aimed to address the essential needs of elders in the community. Through this initiative, the organizers aimed to promote healthy aging and provide much-needed support to the residents of Asilo de Molo.

The event saw generous donations and sponsorships pouring in, with the collected funds going towards the purchase of essential items for the elderly, including groceries and toiletries. This vital support will ensure the well-being of the residents, providing them with the necessities they need for a comfortable and dignified life.

Project Ulikid serves as a testament to the spirit of community and the importance of caring for those who have cared for us. The collaborative effort of the participating organizations and the generosity of donors and sponsors have made a significant difference in the lives of the elderly at Asilo de Molo. This initiative serves as an inspiration to continue supporting and advocating for the well-being of our elders, ensuring they receive the care and respect they deserve.
