Students from 5 different colleges attended the power session.
The 2nd batch of graduating students from Central Philippine University gathered for the Power Session through the CPU Placement Office in partnership with the University Church and CPU Alumni Association, Inc., held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.
On April 12, 2024, students from five colleges participated: the College of Arts and Sciences, with 317 attendees; the College of Hospitality Management, with 177 attendees; the College of Business and Accountancy, with 356 attendees; and the College of Pharmacy and College of Computer Studies, each with one attendee.
During the morning session, one of the speakers was Engr. Florence G. Esparagosa, the Assistant Branch Head of SSS Iloilo Central Branch. She discussed the 7 benefits of SSS known as: sickness benefit, maternity benefit, disability benefit, retirement benefit, death benefit, funeral benefit, and unemployment benefit.

In the afternoon session, Ms. Jeralyn V. Mueda, Sourcing Officer, talks about how to make a resume, which includes the 4 P’s: plan, prepare, parts, points, and tips. She also shared how to write a cover letter. The subsequent speaker is Mr. Joseph Penafort, HR Supervisor IV. He discussed strategies for conducting effective interviews and providing appropriate answers to questions. The final speakers represented the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Air Force and discussed their mission and the significance of their work for the community and society as a whole.
