CAS Academic Organizations for AY 2024–2025, together with the elected and appointed officials of the PASSC, gather for a group photo after the Panther Good Governance Awards, which recognized student-led initiatives that foster good governance, innovation, and engagement.
On May 15, 2025, the Central Philippine University (CPU) Province of the Arts and Sciences Student Council (PASSC) successfully held the Panther Good Governance Awards (PGGA) at the Educational Media Center Conference Room from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The program recognized outstanding academic organizations and student leaders from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) who demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovation, and service during Academic Year 2024–2025.
Spearheaded by Board Member Reanna Gabrielle Guanzon, under the guidance of CAS Governor Matthew Dave Nalangay and the PASSC, the event celebrated the impactful contributions of CAS academic organizations in fostering student development and strengthening community engagement.
The Panther Good Governance Awards—the first-ever localized version of the Seal of Good Local Governance and CPU Republic Merit Awards—honor academic organizations that have demonstrated excellence in governance based on their performance during AY 2024–2025. Using their submitted accomplishment reports as the basis, organizations were evaluated and awarded seals across six categories: Transparent and Accountable Governance, Innovative Governance, Conservative Governance, Responsive Governance, Predictable Governance, and Participative Governance.

Seven academic organizations were recognized for their exceptional contributions:
- Association of Chemistry Students – CPU Chapter
- Association of Political Science and Public Administration Students – CPU Chapter
- CPU Biological Society
- CPU Communication Circle
- CPU Psychological Society
- English Language Society
- Junior Social Workers Association of the Philippines – CPU Chapter
Each seal earned comes with a corresponding cash incentive, reinforcing the CPU Republic’s commitment to empowering student-led initiatives.

Among the highlights of the event was the awarding of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) to the CPU Biological Society, the only organization that qualified for all six seals—an impressive feat that exemplifies the values of holistic governance, accountability, and engagement.

As CPU continues to uphold its mission of developing globally competent and morally upright individuals, the Panther Good Governance Awards serves as a testament to the vibrant culture of student leadership within the College of Arts and Sciences.
