The Province of Arts and Sciences Student Council 2023 and the Dean’s lister students with the Department Heads, Dean, and Guidance Counselor during the PaghimaCAS Program.

The Province of Arts and Sciences Student Council of Central Philippine University honored its outstanding students in the First Semester of Academic Year 2022-2023 in a special awarding ceremony held on November 21, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Alumni Promenade and Concert Hall. The event, dubbed as PaghimaCAS, was themed “Where Panther Brilliance Meets Recognition.” It aimed to recognize the academic excellence and achievements of the College of Arts and Sciences students who made it to the Dean’s List.

The program started with the singing of the National Anthem and the university hymn, followed by the opening remarks of the Dean through Governor Crisfe P. Vergara. She congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their chosen fields of study.

The Guest Speaker for the event was Ms. Millen Grace M. Cabila, a Registered Psychometrician and a former CAS student who graduated Cum Laude in 2022. She shared her inspiring journey from being a student to becoming a successful professional in the field of psychology. She also gave some tips and advice on how to achieve academic success and personal growth.

The highlight of the event was the awarding of certificates and medals to the Dean’s Listers by the CAS Dean, the Department Heads, and the Guest Speaker. A total of 401 students from the different programs under CAS received the recognition.

The event also featured a musical performance by the Dagway Club, showcasing their talents and creativity. The program ended with the closing remarks of Board Member Lapac who expressed his appreciation and admiration for the CAS community. The event concluded with a photo opportunity for the awardees and the guests.
