Excellence in all forms – Central Philippine University has once again solidified its rankings in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings as it secured seven Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

The latest rankings, released in the official website of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, underscore CPU’s exceptional performance across various areas, showcasing its dedication to fostering academic excellence, promoting research, and nurturing a vibrant and conducive learning environment.

The following are CPU’s ranks for each of the SDGs:

SDG 1 (No poverty) 801 – 1000
SDG 2 (Zero hunger) 601 – 800
SDG 3 (Good health and well-being) 801-1000
SDG 4 (Quality education) 1501+
SDG 11 (Sustainable cities and communities) 601- 800
SDG 16 (Peace, justice, and strong institutions) 801 -1000
SDG 17 (Partnerships for the goals) 1501+

Out of 2,152 universities from 125 countries, CPU secured a total of 7 areas in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations for this year. Since debuting in the THE Impact Rankings last year (2023), CPU has been ranked in four SDGs, namely: SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings is a ranking system that recognizes universities for their impact across several dimensions of sustainable development, thus making significant contributions to creating a sustainable and resilient future.

This recognition serves as a testament to CPU’s continuous pursuit of excellence, dedication to advancing knowledge, and fostering innovation, along with its faithful participation in God’s mission.
