Crisfe Vergara is an incoming 4th year Psychology student from College of Arts and Sciences.

In a landmark election held on June 13, 2024, Senator Crisfe P. Vergara has been elected as the Prime Minister of the 20th Parliament of the Central Philippine University Republic. With an overwhelming majority, Senator Vergara secured sixteen out of twenty votes from the Members of Parliament, underscoring her widespread support and trust within the legislative body.

Vergara’s election marks a series of historic firsts. She becomes the first Prime Minister from the College of Arts and Sciences in over a decade and the first female Prime Minister from the Reform Party in fifteen years. Her ascent to this prestigious role is seen as a significant milestone in promoting gender equality and diverse representation within the university’s political landscape.

Before her election as Prime Minister, Senator Vergara served as a Board Member of the College of Arts and Sciences for the academic year 2022-2023, followed by her role as Governor of the College for the academic year 2023-2024. Her tenure in these positions showcased her dedication to academic and administrative excellence, paving the way for her current achievement.

As Prime Minister, Vergara is expected to bring a fresh perspective to CPUR’s governance. Her background and experiences in the College of Arts and Sciences equip her with a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead in her position as Prime Minister. Her leadership is anticipated to foster innovation, order, and progress across the Republic.

The election of Senator Crisfe P. Vergara signifies a new era for the Central Philippine University Republic.
