Nagoya Gakuin University students proudly hold their certificates of completion alongside their professor, Asst. Prof. Lesley Joy L. Dignadice, Director of the Local and International Linkages and Affiliations Center (LILAC) and Prof. Sharlene Gotico, faculty member of the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities (DLMCH) and Associate Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center after the closing ceremony of the English course at the IELTS Room on the 4th floor of the Henry Luce III Library.

The Local and International Linkages and Affiliations Center (LILAC) of Central Philippine University (CPU), in collaboration with the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities (DLMCH), held the closing ceremony of the Nagoya Gakuin University Intensive English Course on March 6, 2026, at the IELTS Room on the 4th floor of the Henry Luce III Library.

The ceremony marked the completion of the 16-hour intensive English language program attended by students from Nagoya Gakuin University. The course was conducted from February 12 to March 6, 2026, and was handled and taught by Asst. Prof. Sharlene Gotico, faculty member of the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities (DLMCH) and Associate Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, who guided the students throughout the duration of the program.

During the program, Nagoya Gakuin University students Genki Otake and Kotaro Harata delivered short messages in which they expressed their gratitude to CPU for hosting the intensive English course. They shared their experiences throughout the program, highlighting how the classes helped them improve their English communication skills and broaden their cultural understanding during their stay at the university. The students also conveyed their appreciation to the instructors and staff who supported their learning throughout the course.

Meanwhile, Prof. Kunii Yoshio also delivered a message during the ceremony, thanking CPU for its warm hospitality and for providing a meaningful academic experience for the visiting students. He acknowledged the value of the program in strengthening the partnership between Nagoya Gakuin University and Central Philippine University and emphasized the importance of continued academic collaboration and cultural exchange between the two institutions.

As part of the ceremony, participating students from Nagoya Gakuin University were awarded certificates of completion in recognition of their participation in the intensive English program.

The activity highlights CPU’s continued commitment to strengthening international academic linkages and providing cross-cultural learning opportunities for partner institutions.
