Mr. Alfred Ceasar Carado, a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science graduate of batch 2019 – Magna Cum Laude, placed 9th in the recent Medical Technology Licensure Examination. As a topnotcher, he received a cash award amounting to P25,000.00 from a Med Tech alumna of batch 1988 – Mrs. J Diesmo-Alabe. The amount was already personally handed-in to Carado by the benefactor’s sister, Mrs. Hope Diesmo-Aldanosta, a BSN alumna of batch 1983, and a retired Nursing Director in one of the hospitals in California, USA, together with Dr. Ma. Corazon P. Porras, Dean of the College of Medical Laboratory Science.

Mrs. J. Diesmo-Alabe, the benefactor of the said award, is currently working as a supervisor in Adventist Health Simi Valley Medical Center, Simi Valley, California. According to her, this is one way to motivate other alumni to think about what they can still do for the betterment of the college. She was also a guest speaker last summer 2019 and spoke about “Laboratory Management in the US” to more than 800 students of the College of Medical Laboratory Science.
