Mayor Adi P. Lazaro expressed appreciation to the research paper entitled “Social and Economic Impact of Iwag Festival in Pototan, Iloilo” by students from the Central Philippine University College of Hospitality Management.

The CPU students were filled with joy and gratitude for the recognition and acknowledgment bestowed upon them by the Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Pototan, Iloilo for their research paper in a Facebook post on May 9, 2024. They expressed their sincere gratitude for the opportunity to present their research entitled “Social and Economic Impact of Iwag Festival in Pototan, Iloilo.”

The Iwag Festival is an annual cultural event celebrated in the beloved town of Pototan, which showcases the rich heritage and traditions of the local community. We would like to express our gratitude for your continued support and cooperation in providing us with valuable information and data for our research.

Mayor Adi P. Lazaro expressed his recognition and appreciation for the Central Philippine University College of Hospitality Management students’ accomplishments in their research paper through a post on his official Facebook page.

The students reflected, “Receiving acknowledgment from the mayor is more than a simple ‘thank you’; it is a validation of the importance of our research in making educated decisions that benefit Pototan. It acknowledges that even students like us can make significant contributions to the town’s development. This shows the long hours spent researching, analyzing, and writing for our study. It demonstrates that our efforts as students are acknowledged and respected not only inside universities but also by those in positions that are influential in the community. This recognition enhances our confidence and strengthens our belief in the worth of our work.”
