In preparation for the conduct of the Career Guidance Program, a retraining for homeroom advisers was held on February 4, 2025, at the Educational Media Center.
The event was conducted as an initiative of the Job Placement Office in coordination with the Junior High School and Senior High School Guidance Offices, with the support of the principals of both the Junior High School and Senior High School. The retraining aimed to provide career guidance facilitators with fresh perspectives on navigating the career modules and understanding their roles in the Career Guidance Program.
Together with Ms. Rouella Cheyenne C. Aberia, Job Placement Officer and the Guidance Associates from Junior High School and Senior High School, also present at the event were Prof. Charlett B. Dianala, Principal of the Junior High School Dept.; Prof. Franklin G. Robite, Acting Principal of the Senior High School; Prof. Johanna Faith M. Candido, Acting Director of the Guidance Services Center; and Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Student Affairs.
Dr. Margen A. Java, former Director of the Guidance Services Center led the lecture workshop on facilitating skills. The participants enjoyed an engaging time during the simulation workshop.
This initiative highlights the university’s commitment to supporting the DepEd Order No. 169, s. 2018 and guiding young learners in choosing their career paths.
