The participants of the Aquathlon are getting ready to start the competition.

Participants from the Junior and Senior High School Departments dominated the top three places in almost all categories during the University-Day Aquathlon held on September 2, 2019 at the CPU Campus. The Junior High School Department garnered a spot in all three categories while Senior High School Department placed in two.

In the standard distance contest comprised of 500 meter swim and 2.5 km run, Nikka Amante and Justin James Palomo from Junior High School emerged as champion in the team category with the fastest time of 24 minutes and 13 seconds; College of Engineering participants Jay Suner and Rencel Uytoco came in second and registered in 31 minutes and 03 seconds and Noel Agravicelor and Josiah Benadero from the College of Nursing ranked third with a record of 31 minutes and 59 seconds.

For the Women’s category, Danielle Patricia Valenzuela from the Senior High School ranked first and was able to clock in at 20 minutes and 29 seconds. College of Computer Studies contender Geraldine Paloma garnered second place with 20 minutes and 32 seconds and Cheyenne Jill Marie Yu from the Junior High School finished third with a time of 21 minutes and 43 seconds.

John Cornelius Basco from the Junior High School ranked first in the men’s category with the fastest time of 19 minutes and 48 seconds; elementary department participant Mateo Sion Palero finished second and was able to clock in at 20 minutes and 14 seconds and Paul Anzon Milanes from the Senior High School registered the third fastest standard distance time record of 20 minutes and 20 seconds.
