“INCLUSIVE ART EXPRESSIONS: CELEBRATING CREATIVITY IN EVERY ABILITY,” hosted by the CPU Republic Ministry of External Affairs, celebrates the artistic talents of children with special needs through handprint canvases, dancing, and collaboration with the College of Education-Special Needs Education Society and Kidsnook Integrated School on March 31, 2025.
On March 31, 2025, the CPU Republic Ministry of External Affairs proudly hosted “INCLUSIVE ART EXPRESSIONS: CELEBRATING CREATIVITY IN EVERY ABILITY,” a special event that celebrated the artistic talents of children with special needs. The event, held in honor of National Arts Month, was designed to foster inclusivity, encourage self-expression, and provide a platform for creative exploration for children of all abilities.
The centerpiece and highlight of the day were the handprint canvas activity, where each child left a unique imprint on a large canvas. This meaningful project allowed the children to express themselves tangibly, symbolizing their creativity and individuality. The handprint canvas served as a lasting testament to their participation and contribution, a visual reminder that every child, regardless of their ability, has a place in art. It was a moving and symbolic moment of unity and personal expression that resonated deeply with everyone present.
In addition to the handprint canvas, the event featured a dancing segment, where children could express themselves through movement. The event also provided art materials to all the participating children with special needs, ensuring they had the resources to fully engage with the activities.
The event was made even more special by partnering with the College of Education- Special Needs Education Society (SNED Society) and collaboration with Kidsnook Integrated School, the beneficiary school for the occasion. Known for its dedication to supporting and nurturing children with special needs, Kidsnook Integrated School was the perfect partner for this celebration. The students from Kidsnook were able to take part in the day’s activities, showcasing their artistic talents and enjoying a day of creativity, connection, and acceptance.
The event successfully created a space where children could break through any limitations, express their emotions, and celebrate the beauty of inclusivity. Through art, these children discovered not only their creative potential but also,, the importance of understanding and acceptance. “INCLUSIVE ART EXPRESSIONS” served as a reminder that every child, regardless of their special needs, has a voice, and that voice deserves to be heard and celebrated.
