CPU HR Director, Dr. Rodel Palomar discussed the Rules and Regulations, and Employee Benefits to newly-hired employees.
Last October 11, 2023, the Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) conducted an Orientation-Seminar for New Faculty and Staff. A total of 31 staff and 38 faculty members attended the whole day orientation which was held at the Educational Media Center (EMC).
The program started with a prayer and devotional by Rev. Cris Amorsolo V. Sian, Senior Pastor of the University Church. Dr. Irving Domingo L. Rio, Vice President for Academic Affairs gave the Welcome Remarks in behalf of University President, Dr. Teodoro C. Robles.
It was an interesting talk when Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of the Office of Communications walked the attendees through history and presented visuals on how the past meets the present. He further talked about the Vision, Mission, Core Values and University Culture. Dr. Rodel C. Palomar, HRD Director then discussed the Rules and Regulations while Dr. Anna May Y. Zerrudo, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (QAAC) gave a talk on Quality Policy and Objectives.
The Resource Speakers in the afternoon session included Dr. Palomar and Prof. Jet R. Nillos (Retirement Officer), with the topics centering on Employee Benefits and Retirement Policies. Mr. Ferdinand T. Monoso, President of the CPU-Faculty Association (CPU-FA) and Mrs. Ma. Victoria G. Bellosillo, President of CPU-Rank and File Labor Union (CPU-RAFLU) were also present to welcome the the new faculty and staff.
An open forum was allotted which provided the new hires to ask questions and be clarified of their concerns. The seminar ended with a Power point presentation of all Unit Heads in the University and a Team Building facilitated by Ms. Ella Kathrina A. Gutierrez, HRD Career Development Officer.
The program was hosted by Pastor Alfred C. Morales, Acting Director of the Student Development and Programs.
