The family of alumna Aniceta Gaton-Tigtig has made a significant contribution to Central Philippine University (CPU) by donating a total of 17 boxes of books. These books, intended primarily for community work, have been received at the Henry Luce III Library by Director Cynthia Pelena, who is shown alongside Marjorie Punzalan, a work student at the Acquisition Section of the Library.

In addition to this donation, her family recently gave $2,000 through the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia. The gift will be used to improve the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Library through the purchase of essential books, new shelves, and the framing of paintings, thereby enhancing the resources available to all SGS faculty and students.

Aniceta Gaton-Tigtig graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in March 1961. Her legacy extends beyond CPU; her estate also supports the Seattle Public Library. She passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving a lasting impact on both her local and academic communities. Her commitment to education and community service reflects her enduring spirit as a Centralian, which continues to live on through her family.
