CPU Director of Libraries Ma. Cynthia Peleña spearheaded the giving of books to Bacolod Christian College.
The Henry Luce III Library donated books on theology and high school subjects to Bacolod Christian College of Negros, Inc. last April 28, 2023 in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. The donation included over 500 volumes of books to enhance their library collection and support study and teaching. The donated books are from the College of Theology and Junior High School libraries.
CPU Director of Libraries Ma. Cynthia Peleña, Junior High School Librarian Ma. Leen Gahum, Senior High School Librarian Donna May Rivera, Theology Library in-charge Christian Mosqueda, and Library Secretary Henry Leen Toledano were present to turn over the donated books to the college.
The donations were received by Dr. Armando Kole, President of the college; and his wife Fe Kole who is also the library in-charge.
The Bacolod Christian College of Negros offers pre-school, elementary, high school (junior and senior), and college education. It was founded in 1954 as a community center and pre-school, and was the first Baptist pre-school in Negros Occidental.
The Library partners with relevant organizations to offer community outreach programs, such as book donations, storytelling programs, and other activities.
