Engr. Ivan Legele Cachopero
Engr. Ivan Legele Cachopero, the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Central Philippine University’s (CPU) Electrical and Mechanical Systems, achieved a significant milestone by passing the Technical Evaluation for the upgrading as a Professional Mechanical Engineer in December 2023.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially announced on December 11, 2023, that a total of 189 individuals successfully passed the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Mechanical Engineers. This evaluation was conducted by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in N. C. R., Davao, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, during December 2023.
In accordance with Philippine law, individuals responsible for mechanical plants are required to hold the title of Professional Mechanical Engineer. Every mechanical project or operational plant must have, at a minimum, the following complement of resident licensed professionals: professional mechanical engineer, mechanical engineer, or certified plant mechanic.
Engr. Cachopero’s success in the Technical Evaluation not only reflects his personal achievement but also underscores the high standards upheld by CPU’s Electrical and Mechanical Systems. This accomplishment reinforces the commitment to excellence and adherence to professional qualifications within the field, aligning with the stringent requirements set forth by regulatory bodies such as the PRC. The university extends its congratulations to Engr. Cachopero for this notable achievement in advancing his professional standing as a mechanical engineer.
