On December 7, 2024, the God’s Grace Program celebrated its Christmas Party 2024 at the Pani Hall, Christian Education Building.

The annual celebration began with welcoming remarks by Ms. Veronica Chua, one of the recipients, followed by an opening prayer led by Ma’am Eda Jereza. A Christmas devotional was then delivered by Rev. Cris Amorsolo V. Sian, Senior Pastor of the CPU University Church. He shared a message titled “Christmas Comes Also to Underdogs.”

“The incarnate son of God is the savior of all and for all… I am not saying that God sent His son only for people like the shepherds, not the religious elite, the affluent, the political savvy, or the rulers of the people. He came to save everyone from their sins,” Rev. Sian emphasized.

After the heartfelt message, the attendees joined in singing festive Christmas carols, followed by a series of fun and engaging Christmas games. They also performed an intermission number, singing ‘Jesus is the Reason,’ followed by Mr. Sam Joshua Diamante, who performed ‘Long Ago.’ They also presented two Christmas skits: the first about the birth of Jesus Christ, and the second titled “The Christmas Miracle.” The event continued with a fellowship gift-giving session, followed by the awarding of game prizes.

“The event was a great success, and it would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the God’s Grace Program Committee. Their selfless efforts and commitment to helping others truly embody the spirit of Christmas. The gathering was a beautiful reminder that no act of kindness is ever too small and that together, we can make a positive impact in the lives of those in need,” Ms. Joan S. Castor, GGP Secretary shared.

The committee for the program was led by Mrs. Angeles A. Robles as the chair. Ms. Joan S. Castor served as the secretary, organized the Christmas program, and also acted as the emcee. Mrs. Eda Jereza took on the role of treasurer. Other committee members present during the program included Mr. Alejo T. Gemanga, Mrs. Evaline Gerochi, and Mrs. Digna Gonzales. Also present were members of the UC Board of Deacons.

The event concluded with closing remarks by Ms. Mary Louise Gabrielle Suatin, and a closing prayer led by Mr. Zinadine Zidane Padlo, both GGP recipients.
