The concert is co-sponsored by the CPU Alumni Association, the Office of Cultural Affairs, and the University Church.

The family has given hundreds of lecture recitals in countless schools of different levels all over the Philippines in their commitment to building an audience for classical music among the new generation of Filipinos.

Gilopez Kabayao is the Philippines’ foremost violinist whose virtuosity brought him to critically acclaimed performances in major concert halls in Europe, North America, and Asia. Corazon Pineda Kabayao graduated magna cum laude from the University of Sto. Tomas Conservatory of Music, the recipient of the Rector’s Medal, the highest citation conferred on a graduating student for academic excellence.

Roslinda Orosa of the Philippine Star in her article said, “In sum, the nation can be justifiably proud of the Kabayao family – as an ensemble which is incomparable not only for its solidifying family togetherness but also for its technical skill, musicality, musicianship, and moving eloquence.”
