The Distinguished/Outstanding Alumni of the College of Education are honored during the 85th Foundation Anniversary and Alumni Homecoming on October 5, 2024, and gather for a photo opportunity with CPU administrators and other prominent guests.

The CPU College of Education (COEd) celebrates its foundation anniversary with the theme “85 Years of Upholding Excellence in Teacher Education”. A Gala Night on the 5th of October highlighted the two-day celebration. Honored guests from CPU headed by the university president, Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, distinguished alumni, faculty, staff, and students from the College of Education gathered to commemorate the college’s milestones for the past 85 years.

The program was not only a time to reminisce the past and to reconnect with fellow Centralian educators; it was also a time to recognize the achievements of our outstanding alumni who continue to excel and emanate Scientia et Fides in their respective fields. A response from the alumni was delivered by Dr. Romel B. Balisang, Regional Director of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

Cultural dance presentations by the Tumandok Dance Company and a showcase of talents by COEd faculty entertained the guests. A unity dance led by the P.E. Department officially closed the program.

The event was made possible because of the concerted effort of the working committee. COEd is grateful for the untiring support of the Alumni of the College of Education (ACE) headed by Dr. Carmen P. Santos, Dean Merle P. Lorca-Junsay, Ph.D., and the members of the working committee.

For the past 85 years, the CPU College of Education has remained true to its ideals by upholding excellence in teacher education. COEd is set to continue this legacy by planting seeds of exemplary Christian Education in the hearts and minds of our future Centralian educators.
