On February 7, 2025, the CPU College of Nursing, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Iloilo Mission Hospital Nurses’ Alumni Association (CCINAA) hosted their Gala Night at Iloilo Convention Center. Anchored on its theme, “Pagtililipon 2025: Nurturing Nursing Brilliance, Fostering Alumni Loyalty and Support,” the event serves as the highlight of this year’s Grand Centennial Reunion.

The celebration began with a Processional by CPU’s prominent individuals, followed by the CCINAA Officers and Jubilarians. The opening prayer was led by Prof. Cynthia Mendoza, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and CPU Alma Mater song. Welcome messages were delivered by esteemed speakers such as Atty. Von Lovel D. Bedona, Chairman of the CPU Board of Trustees; Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, University President; Dr. Elmer Q. Pedregosa, Hospital Administrator-Iloilo Mission Hospital; Dr. Anita Illenberger, CPUAAI President; Prof. Melba C. Sale, CPU-CON Dean; and Commissioner Salex E. Alibogha, CCINAA President.

“We have come to the ultimate event of CCINAA’s Grand Centennial Reunion- the Gala Night, and what a fitting way to end this historic week by dawning your most elegant Filipiniana or evening wear as you gather one more time to celebrate the common bond you shared as Centralian nurses and also to collectively rejoice because of the numerous milestones many of you have reached in your chosen fields of endeavor…I cannot enumerate the names of all the members of the working committees but please know that you are truly appreciated and we are proud of what you have done,” said CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy in his welcoming remarks.

Commissioner Salex E. Alibogha, CCINAA President, expressed his gratitude during his message, recognizing the unwavering support and generosity of the Balabagno and Seisa families. Their contributions were instrumental in making events like the Gala Night and Production Night possible.

A key highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding leaders in the field of nursing. In addition, the prestigious CCINAA Nurse Alumni of the Century award was presented to Dr. Anecita “Ann” Catedrilla Seisa.
