Immersed in tech innovation: CPU-CCS 4th year students witness live demonstrations of advanced technologies and software applications, offering them a preview of practical applications for their future careers.
In an effort to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry experience, fourth-year students from the College of Computer Studies (CCS) at Central Philippine University (CPU) recently completed a successful four-day Tour Exposure Trip to Manila. The initiative aimed to equip students with firsthand industry insights as they prepare for their upcoming On-the-Job Training (OJT), enhancing their readiness to join the tech sector.
The educational tour, held from October 23 to 26, 2024, brought students to various IT companies and universities across Metro Manila. Guided tours and informative lectures led by industry experts provided students with a unique perspective on current technological advancements and emerging industry trends, making the experience a comprehensive introduction to the professional world.
Organized by CPU-CCS, the trip emphasized not only industry exposure but also fostering connections with potential employers and strengthening collaborations with leading companies and academic institutions. The initiative provided a rare opportunity for students to observe the practical applications of their field, gaining an insider’s view into daily operations, software development processes, and emerging technologies within the fast-evolving world of computer science and information technology.
As the students prepare for their OJT, experiences like this exposure trip serve as a crucial foundation, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in real-world settings. Through this tour, CPU-CCS reaffirms its commitment to producing competent and industry-ready graduates who will contribute meaningfully to the tech industry.
